You’ll need a Patient Portal account for your televisit. If you don’t have one, follow few simple steps to sign up.

How to use the healow app for your televisit

To use the healow app for your televisit, you’ll need a Patient Portal account. Then follow these steps to get started.

  1. Download the healow app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Enter practice code DGDABA when registering. 
  3. Sign in with your Patient Portal ID and password.
  4. Open your appointment in the healow app, complete the questionnaire, then start your televisit.

The App Store and Google Play links take you outside the Unity Health Network website.

A televisit is a virtual appointment with a Unity Health Network provider using an internet-connected computer, tablet or smartphone. During your visit, your provider can discuss your symptoms and health concerns and recommend next steps for your care.

Televisits may be appropriate for health concerns such as allergies, cold and flu symptoms, skin rashes, infections, joint pain, bronchitis, minor injuries, conjunctivitis, vomiting and headaches. Your provider may recommend an in-person visit if your condition requires face-to-face care.

Yes, your provider may prescribe medication during a televisit when appropriate for your health needs. They may also recommend follow-up care or ask you to visit an office for an in-person evaluation.

Yes. You need an active Patient Portal account to access your televisit. If you don’t already have an account, follow the Patient Portal sign-up instructions before your appointment.

Yes. At the time of your appointment, you must be physically located in the same state where your provider practices.

Your provider may recommend an in-person visit if your health concern cannot be appropriately addressed during a televisit. They can discuss the next steps for your care with you during the appointment.

Call 911 immediately if you’re experiencing a medical emergency. Televisits are not a substitute for emergency medical care.
